THE TEAM
Teachers, Musicians, Dreamers
Over the years, our trio has spoken about our dreams, our vision, and our compared experiences from teaching. We thought of greater opportunities, the adventures of music, and the basics of what music really means for everyone. We shared ideas on many occasions and one day realised that if we combined these ideas,
we could offer something truly special.
The concept of our business all came together one evening in a local restaurant, over delicious pizza and craft beer. We sat making notes. Then chapters. And suddenly our ideas became greater and manifested into a unified marvel, where the objective is clear: ‘The Freedom of Music’. And so Rhapsody Studios was born.
We are three musicians with the dream to share our passion for music, to cater to the student’s/client’s needs, to inspire, to create opportunities and to establish an environment that is uplifting and fulfilling. We are so excited to expand our teaching and performance personnel, and our clientele base. This is only the beginning!
THE VISION
We are three music teachers and performers passionate about musical exposure in early childhood development and inspiring youth through music. We believe in an environment that is uplifting and fulfilling. The members of Rhapsody Studios offer tuition in saxophone, clarinet, piano, and voice in both a structured/graded manner as well as to those with the interest and passion to learn an instrument - Freedom of Music.
We want to support music teachers and students, providing them with tips for online lessons, practicing, maintaining the interest, and keeping the music alive. We hope to grow our partnership by having more instrumental teachers come on board whether experienced or needing experience. Rhapsody Studios aspires to mentor up and coming music teachers by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and platform to music education.
Friends of Rhapsody Studios is one of our focus initiatives and collaborations. It is a networking space and database where we can recommend teachers and performers and help promote music performance and education in South Africa. Rhapsody Studios aims to create a safe place of expression, a soundboard for new and emerging ideas, a way to educate yourself and others, and share in the beauty that is music.
